You can use Lumie immediately upon downloading the app without registering or creating an account.

• No email address or phone number is requested.

Because there is no user account system, you remain entirely anonymous while using the application.

2. Zero Personal Data Collection

We believe bedtime should be calm, safe, and completely private. Lumie does not collect, record, or transmit personal data from children or parents.

In particular, we do not collect, monitor, or store on any server:

• Names, ages, birthdays, or contact information
• Location or GPS information
• Voice recordings or microphone audio
• Device contacts, photos, or browsing history
• Usage profiles, behavioral tracking, or advertising identifiers (IDFA)

3. 100% Local Storage

All data generated within Lumie remains strictly on your device.

This includes:

• Saved bedtime stories and reading history
• Favorite characters, custom story themes, and preferences
• App settings (such as text size, playback speed, or bedtime reminders)

This data is stored solely in your device’s isolated application sandbox and is never transmitted to our servers. Please note that if you delete the app or clear its local storage, your saved stories and preferences will be permanently erased.

4. AI Story Generation & GPT API

To bring imaginative bedtime adventures to life, Lumie utilizes artificial intelligence powered by the OpenAI GPT API.

Here is how our AI integration works with utmost privacy:

• Anonymized Prompts: When a new story is created, only non-identifying story parameters (such as the chosen theme, fictional character archetype, bedtime mood, and story length) are sent to the GPT API to construct the tale.
• No Personal Identifiers: We never include personal names, personal contact details, device identifiers, or location data in prompts sent to the API.
• Child-Safe Content Filters: Story generation prompts are carefully engineered with safety guidelines designed to produce gentle, age-appropriate, positive bedtime narratives.
• No Data Retention for Training: Based on commercial API terms with OpenAI, API data inputs are not used to train or improve models.

5. Children’s Online Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)

Lumie is designed for young children and their parents. We strictly comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the General Data Protection Regulation for Kids (GDPR-K), and Apple’s App Store Kids Category guidelines.

• We do not collect personal information from children under any age.
• We do not display targeted advertisements or third-party behavioral ads.
• We do not include third-party tracking frameworks, analytics SDKs, or social media plugins.
• Any parent-oriented actions (such as subscription management or external feedback) are placed behind parental gates where applicable.

6. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

If you choose to purchase an optional Lumie subscription or premium feature, the transaction is processed directly and securely by Apple through the App Store using your Apple ID.

We never receive or store your credit card details, banking information, or billing address. Apple handles payment processing and subscription management in accordance with Apple’s Privacy Policy.

7. Support Inquiries
